iOS 9 Jailbreak Download: Released Online For iPhone, iPad, iPod & More [How To Update & WhereTo Download]

The new iOS 9 has been released quite recently, and right now a jailbreak is already available for it.

According to the International Business Times, a group of Chinese developers known as Pangu has made an iOS 9 Jailbreak now available for the general public.

Jailbreaking is legal in the U.S. and it allows users to gain more control over their iDevices. It allows installation of unnofficial applications otherwise downloadable from the App store, and customizations that Apple normally does not allow.

The Pangu iOS 9 jailbreak, which supports the latest iOS 9.0.2, only works with Windows at the moment. For those who want to download it and jailbreak their devices, a how-to and a blog have features in-depth instructions for you.

Jailbreaking could give users a lot of freedom, but of course, freedom has its price. Tech Crunch offers some words of caution for everyone who is considering the jailbreak.

Pretty much everybody knows about the End-User License Agreement (but honestly skips the reading part). Jailbreaking your device violates that, and voids your warranty. This means that when something goes wrong, you won't get any help from Apple.

Addtionally, it exposes your device (especially your phone) to security vulnerabilities, putting your data at risk.

The tech news outlet reports that jailbroken devices have been previously targeted by attacks that involved iOS malware.

For instance, the KeyRaider malware affected around 225,000 users, and attempted to steal account names, passwords, device IDs, and more.

Another malware, called the YiSpector malware, targeted both jailbroken and non-jailbroken devices, however, it only affected jailbroken iOS devices.

So, still up for jailbreaking? Here are some instructions according to iDownloadBlog.

1. Backup your device and connect it to your computer via USB.
2. Disable Find My iPhone via Settings → iCloud → Find My iPhone.
3. Disable Passcode and Touch ID via Settings → Touch ID & Passcode.
4. Enable Airplane mode via Control Center.
5. Download the Pangu jailbreak tool for iOS 9 from en.pangu.io and run it.
6. Start the Pangu jailbreak by clicking the Start button and click Already Backup when prompted.
7. Your iPhone will reboot and Pangu will ask you to put your iPhone back into Airplane mode. Once you do this, it will continue the jailbreak.
8. After some time, the Pangu tool will request that you open the Pangu app on the iPhone’s Home screen.
9. Once the Pangu app is run, it will ask to you to allow access to your Photo Library. Tap the accept button on the Pangu screen to continue.
10. Tap the OK button on the “Pangu Would Like to Access Your Photos” pop-up box.
11. Your iPhone will reboot again. Once you reboot, disable Airplane mode, and run the Cydia app.
