A current graduate from Washington State University, who vanished from a Seattle airport over a month ago, may be traveling with a 21-year-old man wanted for not returning his 2-year-old daughter to her mother.
Nadia Erika Cole Vanished from Seattle Airport
Nadia Erika Cole, 21, went missing on May 29 after security cameras captured her leaving Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 3:08 p.m., according to the Fife Police Department's declaration on X. She was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket, a sage green hoodie, black pants, and white sneakers. Authorities believe she may have been seeing in Fife, a suburb of Tacoma.
Pullman police suspect Cole might be with Aaron Aung, whose 2-year-old daughter, Seraya Aung Harmon, has also been reported missing.
Aaron Breshears from the Pullman Police Department said that Cole is in a relationship with Aung and that her disappearance coinciding with his is "more than a coincidence."
The day Cole disappeared, on May 29, Aung and her family from Moscow, Idaho, were last seen together. He had taken Seraya to Montana for a fishing trip and was expected to return her to her mother in Pullman on Monday, but he failed to appear for the scheduled custody exchange.
On Wednesday, an arrest warrant was released for Aung for first-degree custodial interference after police recorded he disobeyed a Latah County District Court parenting plan.
Cole's family characterized her disappearance as "entirely out of character," according to a declaration issued by a private investigator hired by the family.
On the day she disappeared, Cole left her belongings at an airport gate to use the restroom and was later seen leaving the airport with a "distressed expression."
Her parents, Beata and Kirk Cole, released a statement expressing their deep sorrow and hope for her safe return.
Reward Offered for the Missing 21-Year-Old Woman
Authorities confirmed that Cole had recently graduated from Washington State University. A $1,000 prize is being provided for information leading to her safe return.
The Pullman police are cooperating with the Moscow Police Department in Idaho and the FBI to inspect Seraya's disappearance.
Cole is not Seraya's mother, the family's PI clarified. Seraya's mother, Samara, posted a statement on Facebook expressing her hope for her daughter's safe return.
Cole's Instagram shows her engagement to Aung in November 2023. The police suspect that they are traveling in pairs.
The circumstances surrounding Nadia's disappearance are completely unusual for her, and she is loved by hundreds of people who recognize her. Her disappearance has left Beata and Kirk Cole feeling completely devastated and praying for her safe return.
