Olin Johnson, 57, allegedly shot his wife, Kerilyn Johnson, 52, before killing himself in their $1.34-million home in American Fork, Utah.

While the police have not disclosed the intention, they cited that a family member found the bodies. Neighbors, who had played softball with the couple the night before, did not notice any issues and recalled Olin discussing plans.

Before the incident, Olin posted about his struggles and his love for his motorcycle.

"No matter how crappy a person I am, motorcycles always love me back-oh, and skiing. Skiing loves me too," Olin's post from June 18 read, accompanied by pictures of him riding and skiing.

Olin's social media profile described him as a "father to 6 great kids and one Beautiful wife" and featured many family photos, particularly of Kerilyn.

The American Fork Police mentioned that the family has asked for privacy during this time of mourning. They extended their heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of Olin and Kerilyn.

According to LinkedIn, Olin owned Simtek Modular, a company that produces modular panels for force-on-force training and has collaborated with the US Border Patrol, FBI, and Utah County Sheriff's Office. Recent posts highlighted the couple's trip to Australia for Kerilyn's birthday and praised her breadmaking skills.

Davie County Woman Dies in Murder-Suicide

Authorities in Davie County verified that Cynthia "Cindy" Roberson Gobble, 60, of Mocksville, was found dead in a murder-suicide this first week of June.

Worries arose when she couldn't be reached on Wednesday evening, prompting deputies to administer a welfare check at her home on Country Lane.

Investigators discovered she was not home; evidence suggested she did not leave voluntarily. Despite efforts to contact them, both Cynthia and Gregory Wayne Gobble, 59, were unreachable.

An Ashanti Alert was issued, and subsequent investigations confirmed both had died from gunshot wounds in an apparent murder-suicide. Authorities have ruled out other suspects and emphasized there is no ongoing public danger.
