Anna Duggar is finally speaking up after her arduous battle on her husband Josh Duggar's series of scandals. Lately, the public's eye is on Anna as there have been a lot of speculations if he will divorce her cheating husband on what she felt after learning about it. Now, Anna, 27, is ready to talk about everything, Us Weekly reports.
On Wednesday, Dec. 9, "Good Morning America" showed a new teaser clip for the "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff on TLC titled "Jill & Jessa: Counting On." On the video, Anna confessed about Josh's infidelity and how she felt upon learning it for the first time.
"I was just like, 'I'm gonna wake up and this is going to be okay. And this really. This can't be true,'" Anna disclosed.
It can be remembered that earlier this year, Josh, the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michele Duggar, was embroiled in a lot of controversies. The fiasco started when reports of him sexually molesting underage girls, including her sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar surfaced online. When the infidelity website Ashley Madison was hacked, data obtained by Gawker revealed that Josh spent almost $1,000 for cheating services and has two accounts. Recently, Radar Online reported that adult film star Danica Dillon sued Josh for $500,000 for manhandling and abusing her while having unprotected sex, giving Dillon Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
A previous teaser clip released for the "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" also showed Anna in the midst of breaking down while saying, as quoted by Hollywood Life, "It was heartbreaking to hear what had happened."
Anna's participation on the new Duggar spinoff has been the talk of the town. Parent Herald previously reported that members of the Duggar family is fighting over Anna's appearance on the show, some of them thinking that the move was done in bad taste, especially if this is just for the ratings.
A source told ET Online that the whole thing is "turning into a circus" and that “certain members of the family are more focused on ratings and a paycheck than actually focusing on the issues at hand."
According to the insider, some members think that it's not appropriate for Anna to appear on "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" "at a time like this."
The Duggar family has not yet released a statement on who allowed Anna to appear on the show, or if it's her own decision to further solve financial woes while Josh is in rehab for his porn addiction.
Meanwhile, ET Online's source said that some of the Duggar family members have “chosen not to participate in the special out of respect to the serious ordeal the family has been going through in the last months.”
