Several fans have been waiting for the release of the much-anticipated book "The Winds of Winter." Now, new reports claimed that the long overdue tome will be released in the midseason of the "Game of Thrones" TV series.
Several news media outlets claimed that HBO has already announced that the hit TV show will make its huge comeback April next year. With George RR Martin's promise to finish "The Winds of Winter" before the airing of "Game of Thrones," many fans are wondering about its official release date.
"Having 'The Winds of Winter' published before season 6 of "Thrones" airs next spring has been important to me all along. I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish," the 67-year-old novelist said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in April. "But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done."
The statements of the New Mexican author gave a little light of hope for the excited fans. While impatient fans continue to find answers, Yibada shared that Martin may complete "The Winds of Winter" by Feb. 23, 2016.
Meanwhile, International Design Times informed that there were recently sighted indications that the upcoming novel will come out in the first quarter of 2016. The news outlet reported that a fan claimed that a member of the crew of the "Game of Thrones" season six production was seen holding the manuscript of the said tome. As a matter of fact, an unnamed source revealed that TV series directors have already read the book to study how they should film it.
On a separate note, IDesignTimes shared that Ediciones Gigamesh editor Alejo Cuervo confirmed that "The Winds of Winter" is arriving in 2016. With that being said, fans will have to wait for Martin's official announcement.
