'Fast And Furious 8' Cast, Plot: Paul Walker Still Part Of The Franchise; Vin Diesel Slams Dad Bod Haters

Fans of the late Paul Walker will be happy to know that the actor will still be part of the "Fast and Furious 8" franchise, set to release on April 17, 2017.

Sky News reported that Paul Walker will still play a special role in eight installment of the popular franchise. NBC Universal vice chairman Ron Meyer confirmed that Walker's character Brian O'Conner will be "represented in some form or another."

Although Meyer refused to explain further, he said that they will not take the same approach they did back in "Furious 7." He said that, this time, Walker will not be a performer, nor an actor this time around.

Multiple reports suggest that "Fast and Furious 8" is going to be set in Cuba. Universal Pictures, via a press release, confirmed that the studio is in the middle of seeking approval from both the US and Cuban government to shoot several scenes in Cuba.

In other news, "Fast and Furious" co-star Vin Diesel is not at all upset whenever fans tell him that he has a dad bod. The actor recently took to Instagram to post a photo of his amazing physique reminding fans that he is still one of the sexiest men alive.

According to People, Diesel experienced a lot of backlash from fans when the paparazzi took several unflattering photos of him back in October. The "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" actor was caught seemingly having a bad day. He was caught smoking at a balcony with his shirt off, showing a full on beer belly.

In his latest photo, Diesel seemed to be in a much greater shape. In the November issue of the magazine, he admitted that although he still makes it a habit to exercise, it is no longer his top priority.

"When you become a father, you're less vain. Your joy comes from your children," he explained.

"Fast and Furious 8" premieres April 17, 2017.
