George R.R. Martin, the writer of the famous series of book "The Song of Ice and Fire," has recently revealed that he hasn't finished the sixth book of the series "The Winds of Winter". This created quite a stir with his fans due to the fact that Martin already missed two of his deadlines, which was on November and December.
"The Song of Ice and Fire" is the inspiration behind the very well-loved HBO series "Game of Thrones" and the show has stuck to their guns for five seasons and partly followed what is written on the five books. Now that the upcoming sixth season is near, people are anxious to know if Martin can finish the book on time and release "The Winds of Winter" before "Game of Thrones" season six airs on television.
However, it is sad to say that the possibility of "The Winds of Winter" to be out in bookstores before "GoT" season six airs is slim. For this mishap, Martin has gone to his LiveJournal feed and wrote a blog post about how heartfelt apologetic he is for not being able to finish the book. But others have interpreted Martin's blogpost to be a cry for help and that the man himself needed a co-author.
Martin is not as young as he was before and as gorgeous are as his story it is also painstakingly complicated and to be able to keep up with it Martin has to keep track through a website called Westeros.org. This website was created by a superfan of Martin and "The Song of Ice and Fire" series named Elio Garcia and it could be the Garcia might be more help to Martin now than ever.
Who knows what Martin might have up his sleeves, it could be that he might consider a co-author for "The Winds of Winter" or it could be that fans will just have to wait for the book to be done even after the sixth season of "GoT" airs.
