After the success of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," lots of spoilers have been all up on the Internet about the plot for its sequel, "Star Wars: Episode 8," and it involves the unfolding of the mystery behind the identity of Rey (Daisy Ridley). According to The Inquisitr, it is looking like director J.J. Abrams have actually revealed it in a very subtle way.

For those who have not yet seen the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," you should know that this news article would contain spoilers so read at your own risk.

Moving on, Rey's character has been a mystery the entire film but, based on the flashback that happened in the story, it would seem that her parents were very influential and the type that no one could mess with.

Rey's link to the force is so strong and it is among the reasons why her roots could be powerful as expected. Her lineage is a mystery and it would take for the release of the next installment before fans could find out where did she really come from.

J.J. Abrams knows the secret to her past but, he won't be the one revealing it, as he won't be directing "Star Wars: Episode 8." Director Rian Johnson will helm the sequel and Abrams is passing the baton to him this time.

Viewers were left wondering just what that lineage might be but they may not have to wait too long. Director Abrams hinted strongly that the answers will be coming in "Star Wars: Episode 8" and many think that he has already given some strong hints in the latest movie.

Abrams said he actually knows about Rey's mysterious past but will let the next director, Johnson, be the one to reveal it. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he clearly stated that he won't reveal something that would make Rian upset.

For those who can't wait about this revelation, the only way to find that out before the new sequel arrives is to be close to Abrams since he is among the people who developed and mapped out the story and lineage of Rey's character. Until then, you would have to wait for a year and a half just like the rest of us.
