"Outlander" Season 2 will be taking on a more political spin, as Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) are headed to France in an attempt to stop the Jacobite Rising. While such is the plot for Season 2, fans can expect that there will be some other exciting storylines in the upcoming episodes.
In an interview with Balfe during the TCA Winter Press Tour, the 36-year-old actress admitted that Claire and Frank (Tobias Menzies) will have a complicated reunion.
"There is that reverse thing where every time she looks at Frank, she can't help but see Black Jack," she said, according to Inquisitr.
As seen on "Outlander" Season 1, Jamie and Claire faced tough times under Black Jack Randall (played by Tobias Menzies as well), especially that rape scene between Black Jack and Jamie in Wentworth Prison.
"[Season 1] was a very reactionary season. She was in survival mode. The difference with this season is there's been time to be in one place and contemplate," she added.
Frank definitely has a lot to take in during his reunion with Claire, as he will find that his wife, who has gone missing for quite some time, is pregnant with another man's child.
Meanwhile, Jamie will also have his own share of crisis in "Outlander" Season 2, as reported on International Business Times.
According to the publication, the latest teaser trailer for the upcoming season showed Jamie airing his doubts about their plan to stop the Battle of Culloden from happening.
Jamie also tells Claire in the clip that he feels uncomfortable "lying to everyone" they know.
"Outlander" Season 2 is expected to premiere in March or April 2016 on Starz.
