Adele to Make Acting Debut for 'The Secret Service': Report

Grammy-award winning singer Adele will debut her first acting venture in the upcoming movie The Secret Service, Entertainment Wise reported Monday.

Adele, 25, will star alongside actors Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Claine, Colin Firth and Elton John in the new upcoming espionage thriller by X-Men: First Class and Layer Cake director Matthew Vaughn.

"Adele is exactly what Matthew is looking for,' a source has told The Sun on Sunday amid rumors that Adele would be cast as a "bad girl."

Reports have confirmed that Matthey Vaughn wants to feature high-profile names in this upcoming movie to boost its profile and turn it into a mega-money franchise.

Adele, who has received various awards not only in the United Kingdom but also in other parts of the world, is well-known for her big voice and personality.

The singer won an Academy Award as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for her song Skyfall, written for twenty-third James Bond movie with the same title.

She has recently given birth to her first child, Angelo with husband Simon Konecki.

The movie The Secret Service is based on a graphic novel by Mark Millar, the person in charge of creating Kick Ass.

The movie will be shown in theaters this coming 2014.
