David Bowie surely knew how to repay debts of gratitude. A new report has surfaced about the deceased star's gift for the nanny of his son Duncan Jones.
According to The Daily Mail, the nanny who became a second mother to Bowie's son is Marion Skene. Bowie, who died on Jan. 10 at the age of 69 due to cancer, left a million dollars to the nanny who helped a lot in raising his boy.
"We were messed up as a couple but this little creature came and David was a great dad," David Bowie's wife Iman told The Daily Mail in an interview from years ago. "But when the baby was around, our lifestyle just didn't work."
Iman admitted that both she and David did drugs which negatively affected their roles as parents. Fortunately for the superstar couple, Marion Skene was there to be more than just Duncan's nanny.
"Marion effectively became Zowie's mother," revealed Iman. Even Duncan Jones considered Marion as his mother, according to the report.
Bowie also gave £1.4 million to his former long-time assistant Corinne Schwab. She worked for Bowie as his assistant for more than four decades and also became his best friend and rumored lover.
Half of Bowie's £70 million fortune goes to his wife Iman and the rest will be given to 44-year-old son Duncan Jones -- film director of "Moon", "The Source Code" and the upcoming "War Craft" -- and 15-year-old daughter Alexandria.
Despite being mostly raised by his nanny, Duncan Jones still has plenty of good things to say about his legendary father David Bowie. "He's just a wonderful guy and father and I think he understands that I'm a creative person in my own right," Jones told The Daily Mail. He also credits his dad for giving him support and helping him become a confident movie director.
