Logan Stevenson, the two-year old Pennsylvania boy who has touched the lives of many across America, was laid to final resting place on Saturday after battling leukemia and other complications, NBC Philadelphia reported.
Logan's story became viral after his parents decided to move their wedding date earlier to ensure he would be present. Logan successfully pulled through the short ceremony where he acted as his parent's best man.
Logan unfortunately died on Monday, his mom said in an announcement she made on Facebook. About 75 family and friends attended the funeral service at the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home in Jeannette, about 25 miles east of Pittsburgh, The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.
Reverend Father Jan Zotter hosted the funeral service and comforted the attendees by saying Logan is now in the good hands of the Savior.
Logan Stevenson's parent's Christine and Sean Stevenson said that their son was a fighter.
Debby and Larry Stevenson, Logan's grandparents wrote a note that said "Even though it was heartbreaking to let you go, heaven is very lucky to have you".
Family and friends expressed their deepst condolences to the Stevenson family.
Rev. Zotter also shared a very wonderful insight about death of children and said that it is very common for parents to ask God why their child is taken away from them at a very young age.
He then answered the question by saying that these are considered as mysteries of God and they can never be fathomed.
Rev. Zotter ended his service by saying, "Logan is with God, the Father. I bet he's playing baseball. I bet he's seeing the horses there".
