"Outlander" Season 2 may ultimately put Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall to a test, but that won't stop the couple from Diana Gabaldon's series from getting intimate with each other. Caitriona Balfe reveals that hers and Sam Heughan's character will remain a "very passionate couple."

"Outlander" Season 2 is nearing its premiere on TV, as the Starz time traveler series is all set for an April 2016 release. While the anticipation for the TV adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber," is increasing, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe recently shared exciting details in an interview with Elle.
"It's completely different that season one," said Heughan about Season 2. "The allies and the enemies are very different. There's less people with swords and shields and more back-stabbings and politics."
Balfe also admitted that aside from this political storyline that "Outlander" Season 2 will be taking on, fans and viewers will also see Jamie and Claire struggle with their marriage.
With regards to the sensual scenes showed in "Outlander," Heughan and Balfe admitted that these scenes are one of the things, which attract viewers.
"I think people like them it's because it's quite honest," shared Heughan.
Heughan added that while Jamie and Claire will be going through so much in "Outlander" Season 2, there will always be passion and romance between them.
"Their relationship is less innocent and young. It's now more grown up," he said.
Meanwhile, executive producer Ron Moore recently revealed that Jamie and Claire's daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) will appear in the latter half of the season, Scotland Now reported.
"You will get to see her [but] not until we get back to the 1968 story, which won't be for a while - towards the end of the season," he said.
"Outlander" Season 2 premieres in April 2016 on Starz.
