"Prison Break" Season 5 will see the return of Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell as Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, respectively. While fans thought that they have seen the last of Michael during the show's season 4 finale in 2009, series creators revealed that he will be back from the dead in the upcoming Fox reboot.
According to the Examiner, Michael died during the season 4 finale episode of "Prison Break;" however, series creators explained that his return will come with a major twist. Many fans are reportedly speculating that Michael's return will have something to do with him faking his own death, but the publication noted that the show's creators said that his return does not have anything to do with his brain tumor.
Meanwhile, Wentworth Miller also explained on NBC's "Today Show" that he is excited to be back on set and reprise his role as Michael, Melty reported.
"I think a lot of the fans are really excited to see where these characters are now - especially mine as my character died twice at the end of the original," Miller said.
The release date of "Prison Break" Season 5 may also be delayed as several reports claimed that there have been some casting problems and several issues with the cast's schedule.
Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell are on recurring guest roles for "Legends of Tomorrow" while Sarah Wayne Callies is still in talks of reprising her role as Dr. Sara Tancredi.
