Conjoined Twins Separated After Successful Surgery

Conjoined twins from Dallas are now recovering after a successful surgery, the NBC DFW reported.

Owen and Emmett Ezell were born as conjoined twins on July 17 and were connected from their chest down to their belly button. The twins also shared a liver and intestines.

Their surgery that lasted for six hours at a hospital in Dallas was reported to have been very successful.

As of late, the twins are still confined at the intensive care unit at Medical City Children's Hospital but they are recovering in their own separate beds.

"It's wonderful for us to be able to sit here and think about, how are we going to bring these two boys home? What are they going to be like," said their father, Dave Ezell via a phone interview with NBC DFW.

"They're starting to open their little eyes, and they're starting to wiggle their little fingers. You can see that recognition in their face. It's truly heartwarming," Ezell further stated.

The family has also maintained a Facebook page informing family, friends and even strangers about the pregnancy, birth and even the surgery.

They said that they would be more than willing to accept any support the page can get.
