"Outlander" Season 2 is only a couple of months away from its premiere and the Starz series recently released the titles for the first two episodes of the show. According to Scotland Now, the show will premiere with an episode titled "Through a Glass, Darkly," and episode two is titled, "Not in Scotland Anymore."
The publication noted that the show has yet to release the official synopses for these two episodes, but fans are already wondering whether "Outlander" Season 2 premiere will start in 1968 or the 18th century.
According to the outlet, many fans are already aware of the fact that in Diana Gabaldon's second book "Dragonfly in Amber," the story begins in 1968. However, things are always bound to change when a story is translated into the small screens.
Add this to the fact that showrunner Ron Moore's statements in an earlier interview added more to this growing mystery.
"I'm not going to say how we start," he said. "There are changes and differences; the second novel is more complex. It has a lot more puzzle pieces, a lot more moving parts."
While fans have yet to see whether "Outlander" Season 2 will begin in 1968 or in the 18th Century, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan recently shared some exciting details about the upcoming season with TVGuide.com.
"It's less weapons. It's more politics, more backstabbing and darkness. There are some pretty dangerous characters involved," the Scottish actor revealed.
Balfe, on the other hand, hinted that Claire's "big mouth" will get her in trouble, especially with Comte St. Germain (Stanley Weber).
"Outlander" Season 2 premieres this Apr. 9 on Starz.
