While Marvel lovers are too busy picking sides between Captain America and Iron Man in "Captain America: Civil War," Benedict Cumberbatch has been keeping busy filming "Doctor Strange" in London.
Contrary to popular belief, "Doctor Strange" hasn't wrapped up on filming just yet. Leaked photos and videos over the weekend show Benedict Cumberbatch as Sorcerer Supreme in his signature red cape on the streets of London.
Not only that, but Chiwetel Ejifor and Benedict Wong can also be spotted in other photos as Baron Mordo and Wong, respectively, as reported by The Independent.
Although the Marvel film is shooting its scenes in London, the video (below) shows that the streets are made to look like New York City - as evidenced by several yellow cabs on the road.
"It's very different, it's an Astral Plane," Benedict Cumberbatch told Wall Street Journal back in January about the film's plot. "There's a huge new element to this Marvel universe that's going to be employed in building this story and this character."
According to News OXY, Cumberbatch will be playing the role of the titular character and essentially, Stephen Strange, who is "an acclaimed neurosurgeon who uncovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions after a near-fatal car accident."
During the early stages of filming, the "Sherlock" star also few to Asia to shoot some scenes. As it turns out, Stephen Strange found himself in the continent as he searched for "The Ancient One" (Tilda Swinton) in the hopes of healing his injuries.
The "Doctor Strange" cast also includes other A-listers such as, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg and Mads Mikkelsen. Scott Derrickson of "Sinister" fame is directing the Marvel film.
"Doctor Strange" is set for release on November 4, 2016.
