Many people think of Morgan Freeman's voice as a God-like - after all, he did play one in "Bruce Almighty" with Jim Carrey. After endless pleas on social media, Waze has finally given fans what they've always wanted: a GPS voiced by no other than Morgan Freeman himself.
According to Time, the move was part of a promotion for "London Has Fallen," the sequel to 2013's "Olympus Has Fallen." In the upcoming film, Freeman portrays Vice President Trumbill.
With that in mind, if you've already made use of the app with Morgan Freeman as your GPS, then you've probably heard him call drivers as "presidents" on the Waze app: "The time has arrived, President Wazer. The world awaits your commands."
The movie surrounds the story of Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), who is trying to protect U.S. President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) from a plot to kill of the world's powerful leaders.
As all the world's leaders gather in London for the funeral of British prime minister, Banning first recognizes that a "massive assassination conspiracy is in the works," reports Entertainment Weekly.
"For the terrorist, Barkawi (Alon Moni Aboutboul), his attack is personal, and he wants the head of the American president, who's unaccounted for after the first wave of explosions cripple the British capital and kill several world leaders," wrote Jeff Labrecque of EW.
In the exclusive scene (below) from "London Has Fallen," all the action and violence comes to a halt as Vice President Trumbill becomes in charge and treats everyone to the soothing voice of Morgan Freeman.
"London Has Fallen" hits theaters on March 4.
