Ms. Rachel, Popular Children's Educator, Is Debuting in Netflix: Four Episodes Will Be Released in January

Ms. Rachel, the popular children's educator and YouTuber famous for producing research-backed videos for every stage of a child's development, is now coming to Netflix.

The streaming giant announced the partnership on Tuesday, saying that four episodes will be available on their platform beginning Jan. 27. More episodes will be available to stream later this year. The date for the latter videos has not yet been specified.

The four-episode season features 30- to 60-minute interactive episodes that teach children letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and other lessons. The episodes will be available in English but include subtitles in 33 languages.

The first four episodes will feature a curated compilation of some of Ms. Rachel's favorite YouTube clips and specifically include the following topics:

  • Learn to Talk — "What's in the Box" for toddlers
  • Baby Learning — For children learning their first words and nursery rhymes
  • Learn to Read — For preschool children learning to read through phonics
  • Hop Little Bunnies — This features nursery rhymes and other children's songs.

Who Is Ms. Rachel?

Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Anne Accurso, is a prominent educator and content creator known for her YouTube series Songs for Littles. She launched her channel in 2019 with her husband, Aron Accurso, a Broadway music director, Variety reported. The channel was inspired by their experience as the parents of a young boy experiencing speech delay.

Her videos combine classic nursery rhymes, original songs, and educational activities to promote speech development, social-emotional learning, and school readiness in infants and toddlers. The videos also use techniques recommended by speech therapists and early childhood experts.

Apart from songs, Ms. Rachel also incorporates sign language in her videos.

Her channel gained massive popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic as parents sought quality educational resources for young children at home. As of January, the channel has more than 13 million subscribers.

How To Watch Ms. Rachel Episodes on Netflix

The episodes will be available to stream on Netflix as part of its normal subscription package. The streaming platform's subscriptions come in three tiers, with prices ranging from $6.99 to $22.99 every month.

Despite launching on Netflix, Ms. Rachel's videos will still be available on her YouTube channel.
