Many fans are awaiting for news and updates regarding the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel after the FX series ended in 2014. As rumors are rife that Charlie Hunnam will be back in the series, will he reprise his role as Jax Teller or will he take on a new one?
The cast of "Sons of Anarchy" are set to reunite on the Memorial Day Weekend on May 27 to May 29. Fans are expecting to hear more news and updates regarding the highly anticipated prequel to the series.
What remains to be seen in the coming months is the announcement of Charlie Hunnam's role in the "SoA" prequel. In an earlier interview with Men's Journal, the 35-year-old actor shared that there is a possibility that fans and viewers will see bad boy biker Jackson 'Jax' Teller back on the small screens despite the fact that the character was killed off during its finale on FX.
"Well not exactly, he's [Kurt Sutter] trying to do a prequel, which I would love to see," Hunnam said.
The "Pacific Rim" actor, however, revealed that he has no idea whether he would be back for the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel or not.
"I don't know if he needs me as a lead actor on that too," he added.
Hunnam also revealed that Sutter is trying to cast Brad Pitt to play the role of Jax's father, John Teller. Details about Pitt and Hunnam's participation in the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel are yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Sutter shared during an interview with Deadline that the "SOA" prequel will follow the dynamics of the relationship between John Teller and Piney and what led them to go from Nam to the United States.
Sutter revealed that the prequel will run for about 10 to 12 episodes and will also see how the club came about and will end just before the beginning of the actual "Sons of Anarchy" series (Jax's birth).
