Kelly Clarkson Couldn't Help But Be Emotional In Commending Her Husband's Parenting Skills

Award winning singer/songwriter Kelly Clarkson couldn't help but get so emotional for commending her husband's parenting skills on Feb. 29, Monday. The singer opened up her thoughts about her husband, Brandon Blackstock, and how great she thinks he is as a father during a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest.

American Idol's first-ever winner has been in a roller coaster of emotions these past few days from tearing up during her live performance on the show's last season to her radio interview via On-Air With Ryan Seacrest where once again she couldn't seem to hold her tears. The singer was even glad that people wouldn't be able to see her cry this time since it is a radio show.

In an article published by E! Online, Clarkson opened up about her relationship with her family and her husband during her radio interview, revealing the many positive changes that she has gone through since getting married and being pregnant and finally having a child of her own. She also took time to commend her husband saying, "He's such a great father."

"Watching my husband love on his daughter all the time you know, go to her events and just be there and like be present is like hard to watch but beautiful to watch," the now Mrs. Blackstock continued. "I know that my kids are going to have that. Y'all are totally going to make me cry on this interview. I'm so glad you can't see me."

Seeing how her husband interacts with her daughter means a lot to her, especially when she didn't exactly grow up having a good relationship with her own father. The song "Piece by Piece" was written based on her experience from her dad abandoning her when she was only six years old. The singer told Seacrest that she didn't think of the brevity on how huge the effect of her father leaving her until she was pregnant with her first child, River Rose.
