"Longmire" Season 5 is expected to be released in September on Netflix, as Lou Diamond Phillips revealed that the cast and crew will begin production on Mar. 23, Carter Matt reported.
"March 23 and it's actually #Longmire Season 5," Phillips wrote in response to a fan's question about the show's production.
According to the publication, "Longmire" Season 5 may return on Netflix sometime in September given the show's production in the past. Fans and viewers may also expect to see the show's first official trailer in the summer.
The publication also stated that "Longmire" Season 5 will pick up from where the show left off in Season 4, starting with the attack on Walt's home. This has left many fans wondering as to who could be responsible for such an attack.
Many fans believed that the person behind the attack is none other than Walker Browning, as he and Walt do not have such a good relationship, Christian Today reported.
The outlet also stated that many fans are wondering whether Dr. Donna Monahan is working together with Browning. As seen on the "Longmire" Season 4 finale, Donna and Walt were sharing an intimate moment when the intruder suddenly broke into the house.
Fans also believed that Donna's possible participation in this attack may pave the way for the romantic relationship between Walt and Vic. In the books, Walt and Vic will end up together; however, many viewers of the show are against this because they thought that these two seem to share a father-daughter type of relationship, and not the romantic kind.
