Gwyneth Paltrow has always been synonymous with beauty and talent: She is an actress, an entrepreneur, and a country singer. If you follow her blog, Goop, you would also know that she is very much an advocate for clean and green living.
Paltrow even launched her own skincare and makeup lines which ban chemical ingredients. The "Iron Man 3" star's latest project, Goop by Juice Beauty, is an organic skincare line which comprises of the essentials like facial wash, moisturizers and more. Her makeup line, Juice Beauty is also free from toxins.
Despite her advocacy for clean living; however, she does not restrict Apple - a daughter she shares with Coldplay front man Chris Martins - when it comes to the things she puts on her face. In fact, she even lets her daughter order things online if she wants to.
Gwyneth Paltrow shared with Elite Daily, "I let [Apple] buy things that she wants to buy. But I talk to her a lot about products. She ordered a 180-eyeshadow palette from China that was, literally, like $1.89. I was like, I don't know what to say. I can't imagine what is in this product, but at the same time I want her to feel her own autonomy."
That being said, she does recognize that beauty is just skin deep. This means that despite not being too keen about her daughter using inexpensive products due to the carcinogens and chemicals in them, she lets her get enough freedom to "experiment" for herself.
As for her advice for her 11-year-old lookalike, Paltrow said that she hopes Apple does know that she is a beautiful person. "Beauty is fun and it can be a wonderful expression of who you are and playing dress up and feeling good, but I hope that underneath that all she'll know her value and worth and feel beautiful because of that," the mother-of-two explained.
