Celebrity Moms: Janice Dickinson Cancer Diagnosis - 'I Got Very Scared,' Supermodel Admits

Janice Dickinson recently revealed she's currently battling breast cancer. Nevertheless, the "World's First Supermodel," as per her Twitter account, is optimistic that she will get through and survive the life-threatening illness.

The former "America's Next Top Model" judge revealed to The Daily Mail that she was diagnosed with breast cancer two days prior. After hearing the devastating news, the 61-year-old model admitted she has been struggling with her emotions since.

"It's still quite shocking. Today I got very scared ... I just get very scared and it hit me," the former contestant of "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here," said. "But I am not going to let that define me, the fear. I'm going to get through this, I'll be just fine, kiddo."

Dickinson, who is known as the "world's first supermodel," said she became fearful of her cancer. But not for herself, though, but for her fiancé, Dr. Robert "Rocky" Gerner. Moreover, for her children: Nathan, 28 and Savannah, 22.

During the interview, Dickinson said doctors scheduled her for an operation to have a one-inch area of the skin around the lump removed from her breast. Doctors will also check if her cancer has already reached the outer edges.

Janice also revealed she will need to undergo radiation therapy in the coming days. More so, she needs to maintain a medication for her cancer. Nonetheless, Janice said she has a good chance of survival.

Dickinson then advised all women to have regular breast examinations. "I'm here for women all over the world, women are to be cherished, mothers, daughters, sisters, you must remind yourself," she added.

Following Dickinson's cancer revelation, the supermodel was spotted shopping for plants in Los Angeles, according to People. Sporting in a black sweater and colorful leggings, Janice seemed to be doing great while picking lovely flowers with her fiancé.
