"The 100" Season 3 is currently on a hiatus after sparking controversy among fans and viewers because of the surprising death of Lexa. The cast and crew of the CW series recently joined the panel at WonderCon and shared their thoughts on the fans' negative reactions, reports IGN.
"The 100" series creator Jason Rothenberg apologized to fans and viewers, especially the LGBTQ fans, who were deeply hurt by Lexa's death. Rothenberg explained that he would have done things differently such as keeping Lexa and Clarke away before her death, but Lexa still would have died in the end.
Rothenberg, however, shared that he will be taking this as a learning experience for him and work on it to provide better seasons in the future.
"Going forward, we need to be aware of the power of the stories we're telling. In this case, I underestimated for sure. In Season 4, I plan on applying it," he said.
"The 100" Season 4 spoilers also reveal that Ontari will win the Conclave, as the panel also showed a 13-minute clip for the upcoming episode of the show. While winning the Conclave will definitely give Ontari the advantage to become the commander, Rothenberg teased that the ascension ceremony has not yet taken place.
Meanwhile, Access Hollywood reports on Eliza Taylor's thoughts on Lexa's death and more on Roan's return in "The 100" Season 3.
"Roan is such an interesting character, I think, and so we're really going to see him step up as the king," she said.
Taylor shared that her character, Clarke, is "completely devastated" following Lexa's death.
"The 100" Season 3 airs Thursdays on The CW.
