A mother decided to stop her daughter from receiving cancer treatment in order for her to enjoy, what could very well be her last Christmas, the Daily Mail reports.
Isabella Coomber, three, has been battling brain tumor since she was one year old and was due to start a final cycle of chemotherapy last month to help prolong her life. However, the chemotherapy treatment has left her extremely ill so her mother requested the doctors to not go through with it anymore. She claims that for the past three years of Isabella's life, she has not celebrated a wonderful Christmas because she has always been very sick. This year, she hopes that on her daughter's last holiday, she will be able to enjoy it fully.
Mrs. Hale said: "There will be no tears while Isabella is here. We are lucky enough to have another Christmas with our darling girl and I want to create happy memories that we can cherish forever. Cancer has ruined every Christmas she has been old enough to know about so far, but not this one. This year she will have fun like other children. The treatment will not cure Isabella so what's the point of continuing if it makes her quality of life so poor she can't enjoy herself? She may not have long left so the time we have together is too precious to waste being sick. My little girl deserves some laughter and happiness at Christmas."
As of late, Mrs. Hale is fundraising to fulfill her daughter's final visit to go back to Disneyland and meet her favorite characters once again. "I nearly had a heart attack when she told me she had asked Father Christmas if she could back to Disney. She had the absolute time of her life last year, I have never seen her so happy."
