"Dancing With The Stars" celebrity and ex-wife to Donald Trump, Marla Maples, opened up about raising Tiffany Trump on her own. Maples married Donald Trump after the GOP presidential candidate divorced his first wife, Ivana Trump. The "Executive Decision" actress and The Donald divorced after six years of marriage.
US Weekly reports that the divorce between Donald Trump and his second wife did not affect his love for their only daughter, Tiffany. However, Maples admits that she raised Tiffany as a single parent. Donald Trump had not always been around for Tiffany because of the divorce, but Maples did her best to be present for her child.
As an actress and, later on, a radio host, Maples revealed that balancing work with time for Tiffany had not always been easy. Maples managed, though, by maintaining a few standards to give Tiffany Trump a normal home.
"I wanted to make it for every sporting event, every dance, every play, and wanted to make sure that, no matter what, every night we could have a great meal at home together," Maples shared. "She'd do her homework, I'd make dinner, and we just got to snuggle together."
According to Fox News, Marla Maples tended to be protective of Tiffany. Still, the celebrity mom is not shy about teaching her daughter how to achieve what she wants. Maples' advice to Tiffany for her first, and secret, job interview is to not get hung up on being liked.
Instead, Maples said that Tiffany should focus on how to shine. Maples also advised Tiffany Trump to carefully assess if the job she is applying for will take her closer to her goals.
The efforts of the "Dancing With The Stars" celebrity seems to have paid off. Tiffany Trump reportedly revealed that she and Marla Maples have a strong bond with each other. Donald Trump's daughter stated that she is truly proud of Marla Maples.
