Janet Jackson fans queueing up for the "Unbreakable" world tour will have to wait a little longer. Although it was first speculated that the "Scream" singer's health issues were related to cancer, it apparently isn't. Instead, the new diagnosis suggests that Janet Jackson and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, had family planning issues.
Janet Jackson had to reschedule several shows in the US leg of the "Unbreakable" world tour late last year because she had to undergo a surgical procedure. The nature of the surgery was never divulged, but fans were assured that Janet Jackson was recovering well from the surgery.
Early this year, Janet Jackson once again cancelled shows for the European leg of the "Unbreakable" world tour. This started fearful speculations by the public that Janet Jackson may have been suffering from cancer. It's a welcome change to see reports that Janet Jackson has actually been planning a family, instead of battling cancer.
People reports that Janet Jackson had been ordered by her doctors to rest so that the "Unbreakable" world tour had to be completely halted. The "Expose" singer posted a video on social media to explain her situation to her followers.
"My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour," Jackson said. "Please if you could try and understand that it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders."

At this point, no clarity has been defined over whether or not the emergency surgery from last year has anything to do with the recent announcement. Reuters also points out that despite the social media announcement, fans remain unsure over whether or not Janet Jackson is already pregnant or still just planning pregnancy.
The "Unbreakable" singer is 49, while her husband Wissam Al Mana is 41. In case of successful pregnancy, this will be the first for Janet Jackson to become a parent.
