Jennifer Lawrence Weight Issues: 'X-Men' Actress Says Hollywood Normal Should Make Her Feel Skinnier

"X-Men" star Jennifer Lawrence recently spoke about her weight issues. Although the "X-Men" star has been lauded among the most attractive females in Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence says she feels her body type is not normal.

People reports that Jennifer Lawrence feels the pressure of Hollywood standards on skinny and normal. The "Hunger Games" star revealed that she spends time on pilates each day and works out more than most normal people.

As far Jennifer Lawrence is concerned, her body is a little less normal and even closer to skinny. However, people tend to associate Jennifer Lawrence with a normal body type because of what has been propagated as the acceptable range of slim and skinny.

The "X-Men" star candidly stated that she would like to see celebrity standards for normal to change so that she can stop feeling like the fattest one in Hollywood. According to Harper's Bazaar, Jennifer Lawrence thinks that the general perspective of a normal body size should be closer to what is real.

"I would like us to make a new normal-body type," Jennifer Lawrence said. "Everybody says, 'We love that there is somebody with a normal body!' And I'm like, 'I don't feel like I have a normal body.' "

Vogue reports that Jennifer Lawrence expressed concern for what she personally propagates for her audience to emulate. While she prepared for her breakout role as Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer Lawrence refused to skip meals to slim down.

Instead, she concentrated on making Katniss Everdeen emanate with strength and fitness rather than looking thin and willowy, in hopes that young viewers would be given the better inspiration. The magazine also related that Jennifer Lawrence does not agree with the use of "fat" as a description for a person.

The "X-Men" star thinks the word should be put in the same category as cigarettes, sex and foul language and should be regulated by law, especially onscreen. While Jennifer Lawrence has been making her voice heard in more than a few issues relevant today, weight standard is among the issues the "X-Men" star wants to take on.

According to Jennifer Lawrence, making a difference for even a single person would be worth the fight. Meanwhile, fans will be able to see Jennifer Lawrence in a different battle in "X-Men: Apocalypse" this May 2016.
