Experts have long said that a solid dad-daughter relationship is fundamental to a girl's life and an artist honors this through sweet illustrations posted on Instagram. Snezhana Soosh presents her art about a father and daughter through watercolor paintings and she has received nearly 50,000 followers on the photo-sharing site.
The images show the dad and daughter doing all sorts of activities together - from eating, playing, sleeping or cleaning up. Mashable describes the paintings as a depiction of how fathers make their daughter's life better. Bored Panda cites that the artwork perfectly illustrates the unusually special dad-daughter bond.
Not much is known about the artist at this point, but she has a mix of other images in her early work, including photos that suggest she's actually a mom to a pre-teen. However, it's the dad-daughter watercolor artworks that are receiving thousands of likes from her followers around the world. Some have offered to buy her paintings.
"I cried a lot with this one - my dad looked exactly like your drawing series," said Instagram member, flaballve regarding the artwork below. "I'd REALLY like to buy this one - will you please let me know if you intend to sell your drawings?"
The artist said that she's on her way to preparing the prints since many have been asking these as a potential Father's Day gift. But she also took time to acknowledge the positive response she has been getting. "I wish I could thank each and every of you properly for your kind words, but physically it's not possible," she wrote as she posted another photo on Instagram.
Michael Austin, the author of "Fatherhood - Philosophy for Everyone: The Dao of Daddy," states that it is important for fathers to have a big participation in their daughter's life. "How Dad approaches life will serve as an example for his daughter to build off of in her own life, even if she chooses a different view of the world," he said, per She Knows.
The kind of relationship a daughter has with her dad affects her self-image and self-esteem and if a dad becomes directly involved early on, he's actually helping his daughter get over her insecurities and develop her abilities better. It translates to how she is able to manage her other relationships in adulthood.
