In one of the last few NBA games of Kobe Bryant's 20-year career, the Los Angeles Lakers legend scored 35 points. However, Bryant's scoring output is not enough to get the win as the Houston Rockets defeated the L.A. Lakers, 130-110.
Bryant has only two games left in his NBA career. He will play his final game at the L.A. Lakers home court, the Staples Center.
On the other hand, the Houston Rockets have three games left in the season, with each one a must-win for the team, the Lakers Nation reports. The Utah Jazz has to lose one more game while the Rockets have to win each of their remaining three games of the season in order to secure the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference playoffs.
Bryant and the L.A. Lakers blew their chance to eliminate Dwight Howard, a former Lakers player and current Rockets center, from the playoffs. "Eliminating the Rockets from playoff contention would be delightful for Lakers fans, who still have not forgiven Dwight Howard from leaving Los Angeles in 2013 to team up with James Harden," Lakers Nation explains.
Bryant has two games left in the NBA season and in his career. The L.A. Lakers will play the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 11 and the Utah Jazz on April 13, according to NBA.com. After those two games, we will never see the legendary Kobe Bryant playing in the NBA again.
