"Red Dead Redemption 2" continues to make headlines as various reports teased its upcoming release date and details. However, Rockstar Games has yet to confirm the reports.
The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 is fast approaching and one of the most anticipated game launches would be Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption 2." Unfortunately, not all diehard Rockstar followers will agree to the latest claims since the game publisher has not always been too eager about its E3 presence.
Aside from the reports that "Red Dead Redemption 2" details were leaked, things have also been quite interesting as rumors hinted the latest development in the upcoming sequel of the hit open-world western-adventure video game franchise. So, here are 3 exciting scoops about "Red Dead Redemption 2."
1. "Red Dead Redemption 2" Release Date
An anonymous source recently emailed Fraghero saying that "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been in the works for more than four years. The source also revealed that the upcoming game sequel will be released in the fall of 2017 after Rockstar Games' unveiling at the E3 2016 on Jun. 14-16, 2016 held at Los Angeles Convention Center.
2. "Red Dead Redemption 2" Title and Setting
"Red Dead Redemption 2" is reportedly titled as "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West." The game sequel is reportedly said set in Japan but other reports claimed that "RDR 2" will continue in the eastern part of the United States since the first one was set in the country's western part, News Everyday notes.
There are also reports that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will not be a sequel but rather a prequel that is set 12 years back from the first game. However, Rockstar Games has not yet commented on these claims.
3. "Red Dead Redemption 2" Characters, Multiplayer Mode and Big Map
As for the "Red Dead Redemption 2" features, the upcoming game installment is reportedly ditching the character of John Marston and will focus on Irish and Seth. There would also be a customizable character that can be created by the player.
In addition, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will also feature a multiplayer mode, Crossmap reveals. The publication also added that the upcoming "RDR 2" will have a big map that will include America's Eastern part during the Industrial Revolution.
