NBA News & Update: Ticket Prices Soar Due To Kobe Bryant's Finale And Warriors' Record Run

Every basketball fan is excited about Kobe Bryant's final NBA game as well as the Golden State Warriors' quest for a historic 73rd win of the season. For these reasons, ticket prices for these games have soared.

Bryant's last game in the NBA has increased the StubHub average at the Staples Center to $971 per ticket, ESPN reports. On the other hand, the Golden State Warrior's attempt at securing an all-time best 73-9 record has increased the StubHub average at the Oracle Arena to $436 per ticket.

"It is virtually unprecedented to see the two highest-priced regular-season games of the year take place in the last game of the season at games with no playoff stakes involved," StubHub spokesman Glenn Lehrman told ESPN. Tickets to Bryant's final games increased right away after the NBA legend announced that this is his last season in the NBA.

Bryant's final game is against the Utah Jazz, according to NBA.com. The Los Angeles Lakers management has warned fans to avoid buying tickets from secondary market.

The Golden State Warriors' ticket price for their final game of the season increased by 134 percent after they defeated the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night. Not only did Stephen Curry and his team tie the most number of wins in an NBA season but also gained a chance to break that historic record. "This is the most important date in regular-season history, not relating to playoffs, since we opened in 2009," TiqIQ spokesman Chris Matcovich said.
