"Fast & Furious 8" is only over a year from its release in theatres. Latest casting news reveals that the popular franchise may have already found a replacement for Paul Walker's role as Vin Diesel's second-in-command. Will Lucas Black, Cody Walker or Scott Eastwood become Dom's new partner?

"Furious 8" has officially confirmed that Charlize Theron and Scott Eastwood will be appearing in the upcoming installment of the "Fast and Furious" franchise. Theron's participation in the movie has been making rounds on the Internet, with other reports claiming that the 40-year-old actress will be playing the role of the villain.
In an Instagram post, Vin Diesel officially welcomed Theron to "Fast & Furious 8," reports Entertainment Weekly. The Rock shared that he has known all along that Theron will be perfect for the upcoming franchise after hearing about her thoughts on playing the villain in "Furious 8."
"When MTV asked her how she felt about coming in and playing the villain, her response was classic and the reason why I love that woman.. she said, 'I'm coming to mess that s**t up!'" said Diesel.
In another "Furious 8" casting news, Digital Spy reports on Scott Eastwood's participation and possible role in the upcoming installment. According to the publication, details of Eastwood's role are still unknown and rumors are rife that the actor may play as Paul Walker's brother.
In "Furious 8," Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) will be introducing Eastwood's character to Dom and the rest of the gang. Eastwood will be responsible for assigning tasks to the team, which led to rumors that Eastwood may become Dom's new second-in-command after Paul Walker's role was given a proper closure in "Furious 7."
Other reports also claim that Lucas Black's Sean Boswell may take on the role of Dom's new partner because the actor signed on a three-movie deal with the franchise even before Walker's death.
