"The Good Wife" filmed its final episode and it was an emotional time for the cast members. They shared their sentiments about the show's end on their social media accounts online. They also posted photos of their last day on the set.
On Monday, April 11, "The Good Wife" lead actress Julianna Margulies posted a photo of herself bidding Jeffrey Dean Morgan with a kiss. The actor plays her lover in the CBS drama series and he was only added to the show in Season 7. His character, Jason Crouse, shared critical moments with Alicia Florrick (Margulies).
Margulies posted a thank you message to the fans of "The Good Wife" after receiving packages and letters from all over the world. "The thoughtfulness, and kindness that poured out of this gift you gave me, on my last week of work, was overwhelming to say the least," she said on Facebook.
The actress also shared that she and co-star Cush Jumbo (Lucca Quinn) cried on their last day of filming their scenes together. Like Morgan, Jumbo was a late addition to the series but has been an integral part of its transition. In response to Margulies, Jumbo also posted a photo of her last day on "The Good Wife" on Instagram and wrote, "Incredibly hard to say goodbye to this much fun."
Also added to the "The Good Wife" in Season 7 is former "Glee" star Matthew Morrison. "There will always be a special place in my heart for this incredible show," the actor wrote on his Instagram, along with a photo of him and Margulies after filming their last scene.
E! Online reports that the last episode of "The Good Wife" will air on Sunday, May 8, and viewers will finally get closure on Alicia's journey. Chris Noth, who plays the estranged husband, believes his character will get back together with his wife. "There's a lot of scars but that binds them even closer in a strange way," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
