"Person of Interest" Season 5 spoilers for the premiere episode entitled "B.S.O.D" reveal that Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Finch (Michael Emerson) will continue with their mission to revive the Machine back to life. According to International Business Times, the two will try to rescue the Machine's source code "before it deteriorates beyond repair."

The "POI" Season 5 episode title, which means "Blue Screen of Death," also seems to indicate that the Machine is already going through a system failure after being retrieved from the Samaritan. There is, however, the possibility that Reese and Finch can build a new one if they were able to save the source code just in time.

The publication also notes that the team will also have their hands full with other things in the "Person of Interest" Season 5 premiere. Root (Amy Acker) will be engaged in a battle against several Samaritan agents while Fusco (Kevin Chapman) will be explaining himself with regards to the deaths of Dominic and Elias in Season 4.

Meanwhile, fans are still wondering whether "Person of Interest" Season 5 can still live on in another network after CBS announced its cancellation. In an earlier statement, executive producers Greg Plageman and Jonathan Nolan told IGN that "POI" will be ending after five seasons.

"As life has come to imitate Person of Interest, it's been our great privilege to work on show for the past five seasons. We can't wait for you to experience this thrilling and final chapter," they said.

"Person of Interest" Season 5 premieres on Tuesday, May 3 on CBS.
