Barack Obama News & Update: US President Requests To See 'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Ahead Of Public

US President Barack Obama revealed his serious fandom of "Game Of Thrones" when requested to see an advanced copy of Season 6 of the series. While most "Game Of Thrones" fans will have to sit through regular tv network programming, President Obama will have seen the full "GoT" Season 6 ahead of the public.

Perez Hilton reports that the producers of "Game of Thrones" decided to avoid all possibilities of leaks to fans for Season 6. The press had not been treated to the usual "GoT" screeners for the new season of the series.

According to Perez Hilton, one of the factors that may have egged Barack Obama into asking for the advanced copy of "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 is Jon Snow being a favorite of the US President. The fate of Jon Snow in "GoT" may have been niggling at President Obama, who wanted to see what fans worldwide have been dying to know.

CNN jokingly calls on President Barack Obama to avoid releasing any "Game of Thrones" Season 6 spoiler. According to the media agency, the apparent anxiousness of President Obama to see the new "GoT episodes" was a revelation for the show's producers, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. "I think for both of us -- finding out the President wanted advance copies of the episodes -- that was an 'Aha!' moment," Weiss said.

The producers related that they agreed to the request put forward by President Barack Obama. "When the commander in chief says, 'I want to see advanced episodes' -- what are ya gonna do," Benioff joked.

During the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in 2015, President Obama referred to "Game of Thrones" as an added humor to his comments. This event was among the instances that the US President hinted at being a follower of the "GoT" series.

The rest of the world will not have too long to wait to see the secrets that the US President discovered in "Game of Thrones." HBO will premiere "Game of Thrones" Season 6 on April 24 and allow the rest of the fans to catch up with President Barack Obama.
