NBA Playoffs Update: Will Stephen Curry's Injury Prevent Him From Playing Game 2?

In order to survive the NBA playoffs and win the championship, a team has to have its main player healthy and in top form. Unfortunately, the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry suffered an ankle injury on Sunday in a win against the Houston Rockets. Will the reigning MVP be able to play for the Warriors in Game 2 of their series?

"As far as [Game 2 on] Monday, I'd say Steph is questionable," Golden State Warriors' head coach Steve Kerr told ESPN. "We will see how he responds the next couple of days and go from there."

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets in the first game of their NBA playoffs first round match-up with a score of 104-78. However, Curry hurt his ankle during the second quarter of that game and then left the game to have his ankle taped.

He returned to the game after halftime but went back to the locker room again to have his injured ankle retaped. Curry did not return to the game anymore but was still able to finish the game with 24 points in just 20 minutes of total game time. It turns out that it was Steve Kerr who prevented Curry from returning to the game out of fear of worsening the ankle injury.

Although Steve Kerr has listed Curry as questionable for game 2, the Golden State Warriors player believes that he can still play despite his ankle injury. "Right now, don't see a scenario where I'll be out," Curry told the media after game 1. Many fans predict that the Warriors could sweep the Houston Rockets in the first round of the NBA playoffs, Golden State of Mind shares.
