The Golden State Warriors, led by reigning season MVP Steph Curry, defeated the Memphis Grizzlies, 125-104. With this sensational win, the Warriors have finally broken one of the greatest NBA records in history.

Nobody thought that the 72-10 record of 1995-96 Chicago Bulls team, led by Michael Jordan, was ever going to be broken. The Golden State Warriors finished the regular season with a new all-time best record of 73 wins and 9 losses, Golden State of Mind reports.

As usual, Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors with 46 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals, ESPN reports. Klay Thompson provided the Warriors with 16 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists while Harrison Barnes added 15 points and 6 rebounds. For the Memphis Grizzlies, Zach Randolph led the team with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Jordan Farmar and Vince Carter both scored 9 points for the Grizzlies.

The Warriors shot a stellar 53 percent from the field while the Grizzlies only shot 43 percent. The Golden State team also had a total of 54 rebounds and 35 assists compared to Memphis' 50 rebounds and 25 assists.

The players from the Golden State Warriors commented on the team's unbelievable achievement. "That means I'm part of the best team ever," Draymond Green said via Golden State of Mind. "I'm going to look back on this and think about it as the best time of my life," Klay Thompson added.

Michael Jordan of the 1996-96 Chicago Bulls team has already congratulated the Golden State Warriors for breaking their record for most wins in an NBA season, Fox Sports reports. The next step for Stephen Curry and the Warriors is to win the NBA championship for the second year in a row.
