"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" faltered at the box office after gaining a total of $151.8 million from a $110 million budget. While part of the installment's failure was said to be due to the rushed production, Theo James recently shared his thoughts on his plans after the "Divergent" movie franchise comes to an end. Will he do adult films?
Theo James recently starred in the third installment to the "Divergent" movie franchise entitled "Allegiant" next to his co-star Shailene Woodley. While the movie has made James more famous, the 31-year-old actor recently jokingly told InStyle magazine that he may be doing some adult films after the franchise.
"I'd definitely do porn as well - but just classy porn, with long story lines," he said, according to TheTheologians.net.
James also recounted that he accidentally got the role of Four at the "Divergent" movie franchise because his plane was cancelled. The "Insurgent" actor admitted that he was not originally planning to go to the audition, but decided to do so because of the flight cancellation.
James also said that "The Divergent Series" definitely gave him a big break in his career in the movie industry. However, he said that this has not changed him any way; instead, it has made him realize that he still has a long way to go.
Meanwhile, the final installment "The Divergent Series: Ascendant" has been given a budget cut after "Allegiant" faltered at the box office, reports Collider. According to the publication, the third installment opened to $29.1 million, which was lower than its previous installment by 44 percent.
There are reports that Shailene Woodley was "dissatisfied" with "Allegiant" director Robert Schwentke because Lionsgate wanted to release one movie per year, which created problems for the script and the entire production. The latest movie only received $151.8 million earnings from a $110 million budget.
"The Divergent Series: Ascendant" opens in theatres on June 9, 2017.
