Golden State Warriors' fans are in a state of panic right now. Reigning MVP Stephen Curry will miss the NBA Playoffs 2016 for at least two weeks after he injured his knee in the Warriors' fourth playoff game against the Houston Rockets.
Stephen Curry was diagnosed with a Grade 1 MCL sprain in the right knee, CBS Sports reports. The injury notice released by the Golden State Warriors team management says that Curry's knee injury will be re-examined after two weeks.
This means that the scoring champion might miss more than two weeks of NBA Playoffs 2016 if the knee injury has not recovered by that time. "Given the way his knee bent when he slipped, a Grade 1 sprain is just about the best outcome they could have hoped for," CBS Sports noted.
The Golden State Warriors, who finished the regular season with the best NBA record ever, have a chance to finish the first round of NBA Playoffs 2016 against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. If they do so, Stephen Curry could miss as much as four games against the winner of the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Clippers series.
Stephen Curry sustained the Grade 1 MCL sprain in the right knee while defending against Trevor Ariza in the fourth game of the first round NBA Playoffs 2016 series between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, ESPN reports. Hopefully, the best basketball player in the world right now will be able to come back in time to win the NBA title for the second year in a row.
