There's no question that the "Final Fantasy 7" remake will be widely coveted by gamers as soon as it is released as the original is one of the best-selling games of all time. However, Square Enix has not detailed their plans on when this will hit stores. In light of its first teaser in the last E3, which has drawn huge response from fans, would the company once again feature FF7 at the event this June?
Square Enix is definitely not going miss this year's E3 presentation since it will be releasing two new games in the fall - "Final Fantasy XV" and "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided." Thus, the company will need to create buzz among the attendees and participants of the yearly gathering of gamers and tech enthusiasts and use this as a time to tease their upcoming games and projects.
'Final Fantasy 7' At The E3: Ensuring 10 Million Copies For FF XV
Square Enix has a goal for "Final Fantasy XV," as the company said it needs to sell at least 10 million copies worldwide, per Kotaku. The brand name "Final Fantasy" is enticing enough for fans, but gamers are likely to still be looking for any updates on "Final Fantasy 7," such as a new trailer.
iDigital Times cites it would be a good idea for Square Enix to present "FF7" alongside "FFXV" at the E3 in June to boost the franchise. "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" would also stand to gain something from the exposure of the "Final Fantasy" brands.
Developers of "FF7" announced in December 2015 that the remake will be divided into multiple parts. "As a gaming experience, each entry will have the volume of content equal to a full-sized game," Square Enix said per IGN. Is a new teaser to the first part ready to be unveiled at the E3?
'Final Fantasy 7' As A Bundle Release?
The remake is speculated to a follow similar model release as most recent "Final Fantasy" games, where there will be 30 hours or more of role-playing game for each part. These parts will be coming out in waves of releases, but fan discussions at the NeoGAF gamer forum suggest a bundle release for "Final Fantasy 7" could be possible.
Square Enix heads have also confirmed there will be little changes to the remake. Thus, its development cycle will be shorter than the other games in the franchise. It's likely that a "Final Fantasy 7" remake bundle could be out by 2019 or earlier.
