Mary-Kate Olsen, 27, is engaged to Olivier Sarkozy, 44, the half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, according to reports.
Mary-Kate and Sarkozy, who live together in a $6.25 million townhouse, first confirmed their relationship in 2012 and have been frequently sighted at basketball games in New York City ever since.
Although the wedding will be a first for Mary-Kate, the French banker was previously married to Charlotte Bernard. Together they had two children - Julien, 12, and Margo, 10.
A source told Us Weekly that Mary-Kate has helped Sarkozy become a better father, reminding him of the kids' activities.
"She thinks he is a great dad," the insider said.
The actress-turned-designer's family are also all praises when it comes to Olivier, the source told Us Weekly.
"They love him."
Mary-Kate's twin sister, Ashley, is also dating an older man - "Moneyball" director Bennett Miller, who is 47 years old.
Rumors first began circulating that Mary-Kate and Olivier were engaged after the actress was seen wearing a $350,000 12-carat marquise-cut diamond ring. The reports were immediately shot down in January by Gossip Cop, which cited a source who told Star that Mary-Kate was in no rush to get married. The source and "friend" continued, saying: "She didn't want to keep the ring, but Olivier insisted, so they are calling it a promise ring."
Representatives for Mary-Kate did not respond for comment to the Los Angeles Times.
