"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling has been slammed by Potterheads for destroying the blockbuster fantasy series. With the upcoming "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" West End performance and "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" movie release, some avid fans are concerned that the British novelist's decision of publishing two Harry Potter-related books this year would overexpose the much-loved fictional wizarding world.
J.K. Rowling's Multiple Treats For 'Harry Potter' Fans This Year
Five years after the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," the final installment of the "Harry Potter" movie series, J.K. Rowling has received multiple treats for the Potterheads who badly missed the wizarding world. "Cursed Child," a two-part West End stage play, is set to premiere on July 30 at the Palace Theatre, London, England. In addition, "Fantastic Beasts," a "Harry Potter" prequel/spin-off movie starring Eddie Redmayne, is coming to theaters this November.

Aside from the stage play and movie, J.K. Rowling will be giving more treats for the Potterheads as she is set to publish two Harry Potter-related books this year. The script book of "Cursed Child" Parts I and II will be released in print and digital formats on July 31. Moreover, The Guardian reports that J.K. Rowling's script for "Fantastic Beasts" will be published as a book by Warner Bros on November 19, a day ahead of the movie premiere.
Is J.K. Rowling Destroying The 'Harry Potter' Series?
Some Potterheads are not happy with J.K. Rowling's multiple treats this year, particularly on her decision of releasing two more Harry Potter-related books. According to the Inquisitr, some fans are concerned that the upcoming "Cursed Child" performance and "Fantastic Beasts" movie, as well as their book versions, will overexpose and ultimately destroy the much-loved "Harry Potter" series.
Carolyn Todd of Refinery slammed J.K. Rowling for ruining the "Harry Potter" series, saying that the franchise is just too much. "The past, present, future of the Harry Potter world is now generously doled out on the screen, the stage, Twitter, e-books, real books, and so forth. And the spell is wearing off (sorry, I had to)," Todd wrote.
