When "Game of Thrones" season 6 premieres, several fans of the novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire" were concerned that the new season will spoil the long overdue book, "The Winds of Winter." "GoT" season 6 has aired two episodes of its new season and it was filled with surprises and shocking twist. Is it possible that these scenarios are from "TWOW?"
'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Diverges From 'TWOW'
The "Game of Thrones" production and staff have already announced that the TV adaptation will diverge from the book. They also explained that there will be no spoilers.
On his end, the "The Winds of Winter" author, George RR Martin revealed that he is working on a plot that the "GoT" cannot replicate because it involved a character that has been killed on the show but is still alive in the books. "So the show cannot do this, unfortunately, because they have killed a character that I have not killed," Martin told IGN.
Although there were talks that "GoT" won't spoil the anticipated book "The Winds of Winter," fans can't help but think about the possibilities. Now, that "GoT" returns and shows crazy twists, many are concerned that these storylines are from "TWOW."
Dumb Scenarios In 'GoT' Season 6 Are From 'TWOW'
Per iDigitalTimes, many "ASOIAF" fans were awash after the first episode of "GoT" season 6. They are wondering if the coup in Dorne, which seems out of character for everyone involved will also appear in "The Winds of Winter." The report suggests that the scenes fans hate in the small screens are possibly from the book.
"What if half or so of the dumb choices in Game of Thrones, or what if all of the choices, really do come from the books? It's not likely, but it's a scary thought," the report noted. Will "The Winds of Winter" be bad?
In "GoT" season 5, Stanni's adventure for the Iron Throne turned to be a disaster. It seems out of his character to burn Shireen and get totally smoked in the Battle of Winterfell, but this was shown in "GoT". In the new season, Ellaria Sand and Sand Snakes murdered Doran and Trstane Martell.
There are lots of shocking and unlikely events in "GoT" which makes "ASOIAF" fans wander, that the show never really diverge in the book because these events are also in "The Winds of Winter."
Meanwhile, there are reports claiming that "The Winds of Winter" will arrive this month. Unfortunately, George RR Martin has not confirmed these reports yet. We will soon find out if these reports are true if we see "TWOW" in the bookshelves before May ends.
