After much wait and anticipation, Xiaomi has finally released its first smartwatch. However, gadget geeks might be surprised to learn that instead of competing with current smartwatches in the market, the company will cater to those with tiny wrists. Xiaomi's first smartwatch is made for children and here's what parents ought to know about is specs, price, release and availability.
Xiaomi First Smartwatch Mi Bunny Specs And Features
Xiaomi's first smartwatch for kids, dubbed as the Mi Bunny, doesn't have bunny ears. However, it comes in cute but standard baby blue and baby pink color choices. The device doesn't have an LCD display as a typical adult smartwatch and it might even be featured with less tech advances.
However, it's great for keeping track of the kids, which is why it was manufactured in the first place. Parents who have wandering little ones can know where they are with the Xiaomi Mi Bunny. For instance, if a child mindlessly goes into a toy store as mommy is paying at the grocery, then she can simply look her child up from the app linked to the device, per Tech In Asia. The app is available and compatible for both Android and iOS smartphones.
Xiaomi Mi Bunny also comes with a 4G SIM card that lets the parent text the child, or lets the child send an SOS to them. It has a LED display that projects symbols. The closest thing it can be compared to in terms of appearance is a Tamagotchi, per Mashable. Xiaomi's first smartphone has a 300mAh battery, which can last for six days per charging.
