The latest episode of "The Flash" Season 2 may have reunited Barry Allen with his parents Henry and Nora Allen, but "Rupture" also ended with the powerless Speedster vanishing into thin air and Zoom announcing that he has finally killed Grant Gustin's character. But where is Barry Allen? And who is going to protect Central City from Zoom now that he is gone?
'Rupture' Spoiler-Filled Recap
In "The Flash" Season 2 Episode 20 (via TV Line), Barry Allen teams up with Harrison Wells to recreate the particle accelerator that initially gave him his metahuman powers. Unfortunately, everything goes horribly wrong as Barry suddenly appears in plain sight. It also doesn't help that Earth-2 villain Zoom tells everyone that yes, he has finally killed The Flash.
Is Barry Allen Dead?
Maybe Zoom was lying, because the new promo for "The Flash" Season 2 Episode 21 has just revealed that Grant Gustin is still part of the show and that Barry might still be alive. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he is in Central City or Earth-1 anymore.
Barry Allen could be in a new multiverse, although there are also speculations (via E! Online) that The Flash is now in the afterlife. In any case, he isn't around to stop Zoom but is there someone out there who can save Central City?
What Happened To Wally West And Jesse Wells?
It's hard to miss that scene where Wally and Jesse get hit by the Speed Force. Not surprisingly, fans are now speculating that it might be time for Kid Flash and Jesse Quick to finally make an appearance in "The Flash" Season 2.
Will Wally and Jesse discover their new Speedster powers and fight Zoom? Fans will need to wait until next week's "The Flash" Season 2 episode to find out.
"The Runaway Dinosaur," the 21st episode of "The Flash" Season 2, is directed by "Mallrats" filmmaker Kevin Smith. It will air on The CW on May 10.
