"Vikings" star Travis Fimmel may be living out his inner Ragnar Lothbrok as he got his flirt on with several females, including "Face Off" actress Gina Gershon. Meanwhile, "Vikings" co-star Katheryn Winnick is getting as much female loving from feminists who threatened the show's creator over Lagertha's well-being.
Page Six reports that Travis Fimmel may have been channeling his "Vikings" character during the Montblanc and Cinema Society party for "Maggie's Plan." Gina Gershon was allegedly singled out by the "Vikings" actor.

The "Vikings" alpha male and the "Z Nation" villainess reportedly met for the first time in the event. The "Queen of the Dead" and the "Vikings" lead allegedly left the event together.

In other "Vikings" news, female favorite Lagertha may have hit a rough patch in the series in Season 4. However, "Vikings" fans may not have to worry about Katheryn Winnick getting written out.

TV Guide reports that the "Vikings" series and its creator Michael Hirst are essentially being threatened by feminists to keep the shieldmaiden alive. Hirst admitted to taking this threat seriously. "There's a feminist collective in New York who wrote to me a couple years ago and they said, 'We don't care how many of the male characters you kill off, but if you do anything to Lagertha, you're in trouble,'" Hirst revealed.
Although the comment may have been a light-hearted assurance, Winnick's character does merit being kept in "Vikings." Lagertha had been an effective balance to the show. Hirst said that the shieldmaiden is the heart of "Vikings."

Throughout her journey in the "Vikings" series, Lagertha's character remained proof that women were not always sidelined in history. As a wife, a mother or as a leader, Lagertha had a position of power that only a woman can have.
However, power is frequently fought for. "Vikings" effectively posited that having power and retaining power is not a gender-issue.
As the "Vikings" series continuously represents, power requires active participation. Ragnar Lothbrok's words summed up the "Vikings" challenge for both men and women: power requires sacrifice and only fools think that they can avoid taking a stand.
