Mojang and Microsoft's "Minecraft: Gear VR" edition enhances the hit block game with the virtual reality platform. Microsoft and Mojang chose the Samsung Gear VR, which is powered by Oculus, for "Minecraft: Gear VR."
Neurogadget reports that "Minecraft: Gear VR" edition offers players two modules. In one module, "Minecraft" players will be given a virtual environment controlled by an avatar. The other module of the "Minecraft: Gear VR" edition will land players right into a virtual reality world.
To enable the virtual reality mode, "Minecraft: Gear VR" players are required to connect Samsung phones. Mojang qualifies that "Minecraft: Gear VR" is best played using either a Samsung Galaxy S6 or an S7.

The virtual reality platform is still new and VR games take some getting used to. Mojang recommends that players allow time for regular breaks whenever playing "Minecraft: Gear VR."
The "Minecraft: Gear VR" is priced at $6.99. This is the same price as the "Minecraft Pocket Edition."
