"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 may see more "Klaroline" moments, as a recent interview with Julie Plec reveals that the executive producer is willing to do more crossover episodes with "The Originals." Speaking with TVLine, Plec revealed that the finale episode of "TVD" had a hint of what is next.
"It's definitely a hint," said Plec. "As we know from 'The Originals,' there's a prophecy predicting the demise of the Mikaelson family, so it was a nice little tease for viewers of the show to ask themselves, 'Wait, what the hell happened to Klaus?'"
The scene Plec was referring to was "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 finale episode, which showed Caroline (Candice King) telling Stefan (Paul Wesley) about the time she called Klaus (Joseph Morgan) for help. Stefan abandoned her during that time while Klaus was nowhere to be found.
Plec also shared that doing "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" crossover is not entirely for ratings; rather, they do it simply because it made sense to do so. Fans, however, expressed their thoughts on the publication's comments section and some shared that this might be the show's attempt of raking in more ratings.
